but the blog is going on indefinite hiatus. I will keep the site up for archival purposes (and, of course, you can still make your own marms over at MemeGenerator), but due to personal factors and the fact that the meme seems to have run its course, don’t expect anymore updates for the foreseeable future.
I’m taking a break from blogging for a while so I can focus more on my serious writing. I’ll let you know where you can find me when I make my magnificient return to the webiverse whenever that is.
I never expected the blog to gain as much support as it did and I’d like to thank each and every one of you for joining me in this silly little corner of the Internet.
Keep fighting the good fight.

macadamiasluts asked: i found this blog and now I'm home <3
:)
1spoopyjerk asked: Just out of curiosity, what would you consider an "established" website? I mean, nerdydyke's tumblr blog is run by an MRA that doesn't really care at all for misogyny. noseriouslywhatabouttehmenz, a wordpress site, is similar. This is in response to funnyfaceking's ask, by the way.
Yeah, I think having an actual domain is the very least you need to qualify.
"If a man wants more than friendship with a woman, then the friendship itself doesn’t even attain the status of a consolation prize, but is instead viewed as hell: a punishment to be endured because, so long as he thinks she owes him that golden opportunity, he is bound to persist in an association that hurts him – not because he cares about the friendship, but because he feels he’s invested too much kindness not to stick around for the (surely inevitable, albeit delayed) payoff."

"Separatist feminist rhetoric suggested that all men share equally in male privilege, that all men reap positive benefits from sexism. Yet the poor or working-class man who has been socialized via sexist ideology to believe that there are privileges and powers he should possess solely because he is male often finds that few, if any, of these benefits are automatically bestowed on him in life. More than any other male group in the United States, he is constantly concerned about the contradiction between the notions of masculinity he was taught and his inability to live up to that notion. He is usually ‘hurt,’ emotionally scarred because he does not have the privilege or power society has taught him ‘real men’ should possess. Alienated, frustrated, pissed off, he may attack, abuse, and oppress and individual woman or women, but he is not reaping positive benefits from his support and perpetuation of sexist ideology."

"Feminism has fought no wars. It has killed no opponents. It has set up no concentration camps, starved no enemies, practiced no cruelties. Its battles have been for education, for the vote, for better working conditions.. for safety on the streets… for child care, for social welfare… for rape crisis centers, women’s refuges, reforms in the law. If someone says ‘Oh, I’m not a feminist,’ I ask ‘Why? What’s your problem?"
